Tom of Finland

November 15, 2006

Another version of Tom of Finland by Joe Oppedisano. Joe Oppedisano is a photographer and he has done several styles of photography, yet those are gay oriented. In addition, his website also presents many photos of his work.

I, by the way, was fainting, when I had a look in his website, and especially the guy in the first photo looks really hot. 😛

Here comes the real Tom of Finland, Tom of Finland‘s real name is Touko – because he was born on 8 May 1920, on the south coast of Finland, and May in Finnish is “Toukokuu”. His homeland had been independent for just three years when Touko was born, and outside its few cities the country was still rough and wild. The men who worked in the fields and woods, the farmers and loggers, were true frontiersmen, every bit as rough and wild as the countryside.” Yes, that was his background and it could derive to become his inspiration. “At the end of 1956, at the urging of a friend, Touko sent his secret artwork to a popular American muscle magazine, but, being cautious in those paranoid times, and anyway thinking that “Touko Laaksonen” was too tough a name for American tongues, he signed them,”Tom”. The editor loved them. The cover of the Spring 1957 issue of “Physique Pictorial” features a laughing lumberjack, drawn by “Tom of Finland”. It was a sensation. Touko became Tom of Finland. The rest is history.”

A nice morning at Kastanienallee. I, by the way, didn’t miss to take a photo. The location of this photo is situated near the tram tracks.

The colorful time of the year

November 6, 2006

Autumn is always with a rich palette of reds, oranges, browns and yellows. This is the colorful time of the year, when trees are shedding their leaves. This scene reminds me to Nat King Cole‘s song ;

“The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sun-burned hands I used to hold”

I took these photos, while I roamed, and lingered around in a park of Ascherleben.

It’s him, again . He incidentally posed, while he looked at a bird, so I had to be in a hurry to catch the shot. There I got. :-). I still remember the moment, when we were wandering around in the park. It was such a romantic and peaceful moment. The tranquility maximized its importance in the surrounding, while we walked hand in hand.

Later we went near forrest picking up some mushrooms for our dinner at his aunt’s place. It was a short weekend trip and fabulous memory……..What a nice weekend. 🙂

My lastest trip with my boyfriend

October 24, 2006

Another trip of mine to Wernigerode, “Wernigerode is a town in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is the capital of the district of Wernigerode. It is located southwest of Halberstadt, and is picturesquely situated on the Holtemme river, on the north slopes of the Harz Mountains. It contains several interesting Gothic buildings, including a fine town hall with a timber facade of 1498. Some of the quaint old houses which have escaped the numerous fires that have visited the town are elaborately adorned with wood-carving…….” Wiki

We,18 people, started from Berlin with The Weekend Ticket, which means pay 1 get 5, and therefore its price is very cheap. We departed very early in the morning, because it took 3.30 hours to arrive Wernigerode. Meanwhile, I had been looking forward to seeing this city. On the way, I started to take photo just from the beginning of the trip. (The morning sun is shown on the top)

The cityhall is one of the highlight. It was quite quiet, when we arrived……………………………too early for “normal tourist” to roam around..hehehe…..Later we started to explore here and there, before we went to the famous castle. Of course, one day trip is always in a hurry, so I had spent most of my time taking photos.

Until we reached the castle. The view from the castle to the city was spectacular. Especially this time, when leaves are changing color. These leaves created nostalgic feeling to the city. At the same time, cool wind, sunlight, noises from the woods added dramatic scene…..This is one of the most romantic and fun trip, I have ever made for this year with friends, my boyfriend and a great memory in my mind. 😛

Interactive photograph

October 1, 2006

As we know that everything in this age is interactive, and so digital photography. This is very interesting website, which offers you many possibilities to navigate and see many photos in one time. It is quite impressive presentation and of course the photos themselves. 😛 Let’s visit the site by clicking here.

A League of their Own : male nude calendar

September 30, 2006

After Dieux du Stade 2007, now come the Australian team but this calendar was made for the year 2006….It isn’t too late to have a look at those photos and to compare…is it ?!?! 😛 The Naked Rugby League calendar, promoted as the “most provocative calendar ever released by an Australian football code,” was released in Australia to raise funds for Koori Kids Foundation.

The calendar is a black and white calendar featuring 12 of the sexiest Australian rugby league players. The calendar was released in December 2005 and was produced in the same erotic style that has made French rugby’s annual Dieux du Stade calendars so successful, with the players being photographed nude separately in various different locations, both indoors and outdoors.

Apparently the French aren’t the only country with gorgeous footballers. And by the way, it’s called “League of their Own” and it is as always “for the good cause”

Specifications:
* Features 12 HOT Rugby League Players!!! 😛
* FULL SIZE black and white
* Size : Length 16.8″ x 12″

Dieux Du Stade 2007 : male nude calendar

September 28, 2006

At last, the 2007 calendar of your favourite rugby team: Dieux Du Stade (Gods Of The Stadium) has arrived. Julien Arias is becoming a regular on the Dieux Du Stade calendar and for the year 2007, he is on the cover. He was in 2005 with a simple white towel, last year he was hidding it behind a ball and this year he has this dirty and sexy look asking us to pull down his short a little lower 😉

Several well-oiled specimens of male beauty from the French rugby team known as Le Stade Francais have been getting naked with each other for a sell-out charity calendar called “Dieux Du Stade.” They’re also starring in a DVD on the making of the calendar. The calendar has been produced since 2001 and has been popular among women in France ever since. But the 2004 calendar, which some say is more homoerotic than the previous version, is gaining significant ground with gay men.! Whatever they say…..here are some images from Dieux Du Stade 2007-!!! Don’t faint while you watch them. 😛

The calendar is beautiful and can best be described as photobooks with exceptional Black & White/Color photography of semi-nude and nude male physiques with superior print processing on high-grade/heavy-weight paper. This year’s theme is “Day Of Match” spanned across 45 pages, shot in a Paris stadium and its suburb, a hotel and a discotheque. Here are some photos of backstage. 😛

Specifications:

* Photographer: Mariano Vivanco

* Artistic Direction: Susanna Cucco & Macs Lotti

* Black & White/Colour photography
* 45 pages total
* 65 Photos (5 in colour)
* Dimensions: 14.2″ x 16.7″

Lonely but strong

September 24, 2006
Lonely but strong is the feeling, which I have got, whenever I have a look at this photo. I took this photo sometime ago while I visited Pfaueninsel.

My boyfriend

September 22, 2006

Today my boyfriend asked me to make some photos with his formal outfit, which was very unusual scene !!. Normally, he likes and prefers to wear casual outfit instead.

After that, I used some photo retouching techniques to make different color, and brightness because his canon camera’s color sync is quite dull.
Danach benutzte ich einige Retuschiertechniken, um andere Farben und Helligkeiten zu erzeugen, weil die Farbsynchronisation seiner Kamera ziemlich dumpf ist.
.

By the way, the photos were taken at the apartment’s backyard.
Übrigens wurden die Fotos im Hinterhof der Wohnung aufgenommen.

New campaign of Aussibum

September 15, 2006
I surfed to Aussibum‘s website this afternoon and found that Aussibum has launched a new range of surf shorts – League and Surf Shorts. Stay tuned for the video promo by the end of this month. The following selected photos are from this campaign.
Personally, I really like photos of Aussibum‘ s campaign. They show more life, personality, feeling than other brands’ campaigns (from my point of view, nothing more nothing less). I don’t have the feeling like, those hunky studs are from a model agency, but only common folk or boys next door with sense of humor some sort.

Maybe it is Aussibum‘ s marketing strategy, which makes us feel that Aussibum is for everyone, and part of daily life.

Now, my favorite photo !!! so cool and it is like a piece of art more than an advertisement campaign 😉 I just wonder who the art director of Aussibum is. Because he has done such a great job.!!!

By the way, I don’t own any piece from Aussibum. It is so fucking expensive for a piece of underwear.!!! :-p
